Let’s Make it Happen!

Meet Yasemin Isler: Inter-Disciplinarian - Systems Thinker bringing together theory/practice/science:

I teach full time in academic graduate studies in the field of mindfulness, teach specific professions and general public on a depth of related topics, and train mindfulness teachers. I am a certified mindfulness teacher in multiple programs including MBSR, certified integrative thanatologist (study of death, dying and bereavement) and end-of-life doula professional. I have a private practice working with individuals on their grief journeys due to bereavement, illness, approaching end-of-life, caregiving. and other life transitions.

My approach focuses equally on the experiential nature and scientific research of teaching and applying the practices which are generally known as mindfulness and compassion based practices.

I combine trauma and context sensitive awareness into education in these subjects. At the same time, my education and research are deeply rooted in empirical basis and neuroscience of these practices.

I am an inter disciplinarian (see bio) and am additionally trained in multiple wisdom traditions and practices including qigong, karate, shamanism, Zen and Theravada Buddhism. I have a 40+ year personal meditation/Vipassana practice. I have been working with clients in diverse sectors in consulting, advising, training, architecture and leadership roles for over 30 years.

A lifelong learning and integration is a hallmark of my systemic and holistic approach of connecting traditions and knowledge in meaningful and impactful ways in an interdisciplinary approach.

I’ve lived in three continents, belong to and raise a multi ethnic, diverse family. My research and work interests include all that is related to resilience, growth, grief and healing, and cultural and context sensitive learning and development. I look forward to working together with you.
